Craig Dominey, Manager of Camera Ready Georgia,
will be giving an overview of how the Georgia Film Office’s Camera Ready film program works and resources the local community can use to attract productions.
Wes Hagan is a well-known Location Manager, with proven success working with national productions.
He will be giving an overview of the process that international productions go through when choosing shooting locations in our state. Productions that Wes has worked with: Ozark (2017), Hidden Figures (2016), The Accountant (2016), Survivor’s Remorse (2015), The Red Road (2015), Selma (2014), and many, many more.
Molly Mercer is the Camera Ready Liaison for Cherokee County
She will be telling us more about the process of working with Wes and the Netflix series Ozark (starring Jason Bateman), and the impact that the production has had on their community.
Peter Stathopoulos, Partner with Bennett Thrasher and Head of their Entertainment practice,
will be giving us insight into the secondary market for the film tax credits. Individuals or companies with income tax liability can buy film tax credits and use them against income taxes, or employer withholding taxes.
